Description | Our challenge was to come up with a fresh twist to a long-running campaign for Big Mac based on the Big Mac Chant. Since we have already heard it sung by all kinds of people, we decided to give a chance to those who have never sung in their lives: the buildings and other inanimate objects of a big city. At BigMac.ru anyone could make a Big Mac techno mix using a clever combination of Tenori-on and a city map. A selected category of objects or even Foursquare check-ins become a pattern that is then transformed into a unique techno track. Thousands of people have participated in the contest and shared their creations on social networks in hopes to win the chance to show-off their skills on MTV. Moreover, inside the oldest McDonald’s Restaurant we created a spectacular indoor installation: a 1.5 meter tall house with hundreds of LCD-windows. And best of all, it could really sing! All Big Mac fans who Liked it on Facebook, checked-in at Foursquare or followed on Twitter, could see their avatars displayed in the windows. Which earned it the name of "Like House" More than 650 000 people saw the LikeHouse with their own eyes and around 10 000 made it their virtual home. This resulted in an impressive 16% rise of Big Mac sales. |
